pInspired #3

Happy Monday! Today is the start of Teacher Appreciation Week! As a school secretary and mom the need for recognition of our teachers does not escape me.

For my daughter’s teacher, we are doing a small gift each day of this week. The school sent a flyer with a kind of guide: (a fruit one day, a flower (real or drawn) the next, a card another… and so on)

Monday did not have a designated gift – but we made something anyway (why not?!)

This pin by Angie of The County Chic Cottage inspired me:

And here’s what we ended up with:

It was really fun for Jazlynn and me to put together. We put some Hershey’s Kisses on the bottom, then tissue paper, then more Hershey’s Kisses, more tissue, and more chocolate. I stamped “Mrs R” on the top for the teacher. I thought maybe a ribbon glued around the rim would have been cute, but I also want her to be able to reuse the mason jar. On the jar, with a Sharpie I wrote “It’s a BALL having you as my Teacher” (‘ball’ is already on the mason jar). On the bottom I wrote my daughter’s name and the teacher’s name along with the year.

I will try to post images of the week’s gift for anyone who is looking for ideas in the future. I will also pin them on my Teacher Appreciation board on Pinterest.
