It’s been quite a bit since I posted something about beauty on here. After having a baby boy last December, there has been an absence of self care. As a mom, we can fully enjoy all the moments we get to share with our little ones, but there is also part of us that doesn’t thrive if we don’t take the time to do a little something for ourselves, too. For that reason, I’m starting a commitment to give myself a manicure each week and I’ll be posting my nails as Manicure Monday posts. Here’s the first one.Â
Manicure Monday #1
The products I used were by Sally Hansen and Avon. I linked them at the end of this post. The Sally Hansen polish “Pink Pong” is a blush that shows quite nude on my nail, but I really like it. This Avon polish in “Gold Glimmer” is from their mosaic effects top coat line, which kind of crackles over nail. I believe this is done with a sort of oil that breaks up the formula as it dries. The effect is pretty cool and adds a different touch to your manicure.
Nail polish tips
I’m not the best at painting my nails, but I have learned the most important part is to allow time for the lacquer to dry in between. To make it last, I carry a clear topcoat in my purse so I can add a layer each day while on the go.
